Horses in Training
Redemption Song came to us from Southgate Farm as a 3-year old, green, gangly and just under saddle.

As Marley has matured into his 17hh frame, he has also grown in his confidence and abilities, in both eventing and hunting. With a generous spirit and a sense of humor to match, he has flourished in training at Warren Hill Farm. Finishing 2009 at Training, Marley is now a serious contender every time he events.
Riding to Hounds
In addition to Eventing, Anne's other great love in horseback riding is field hunting. As a member of both the Farmington and Keswick hunts, during the season she is out hunting several times a week.

Anne especially enjoys the good sport and camaraderie to be had in the hunt field. She believes exposing the young horses to fox hunting makes for  more well-rounded eventing horses.

16.1 hh grey 2000 Thoroughbred gelding by Silver Comet.

“Blaze” is the kind of horse who loves nothing better than a big, bold cross country course. In the accompanying video, he is ridden by Liz Riley at the 2009 Virginia Horse Trials. Blaze is right on form, attacking the jumps and moving away quickly to the next obstacle.

Blaze has been receiving 7's for his gaits in dressage, and has become very relaxed and balanced at this discipline. As he has matured, Blaze has also become much more confident as a showjumper.

Blaze is an extremely solid performer as a preliminary eventer. His first Intermediate event was the Surefire Horse Trials, and he completed the huge course easily. In 2010 Blaze will be starting at Prelim and then moving up to Intermediate for the rest of the year.

About Us
When Captain Rob Riley retired from a South African merchant marine shipping company, he and his wife Anne had the dream of owning a horse farm in Virginia. That dream became Warren Hill Farm, rising on a hilltop above the James River outside of historic Scottsville. Together they built a beautiful facility for training the finest sporthorses in eventing and field hunting. Anne and her daugher Liz are both accomplished Eventers, and Warren Hill Farm has become the perfect place for Bringing Out the Best in Sporthorses.
